Receiving

Make sure foods are inspected carefully when they enter your facility. Record and check the internal temperatures of food as you quickly transfer them to proper storage. Also, while putting food away, check the color, texture, odor and packaging of the food to ensure it is safe.

  • Mark all items for storage with either the date of arrival or the use-by-date
  • Make sure shelf-life dates have not expired
