Frozen Storage

Every food service establishment uses a freezer for storage. Here are four guidelines you may not have known.

  • Warm food can raise the temperature inside the freezer and thaw the other food being stored
  • Defrosting the freezer regularly helps the unit operate efficiently
  • Place frozen food deliveries in the freezer as soon as you inspect them and add proper date labels
  • Keep the freezer temperature at 0°F or lower
