This versatile label terminal saves you time, cuts food waste, slashes labor costs - and keeps your restaurant safer by reducing risk of food spoilage.
The 9700’s touch-screen and heads-up item display will change the way you look at food rotation labeling. Every bit as advanced as it looks, the 9700 offers a range and combination of features that no other unit on the market can boast, including a massive 8.4” Hot Touch Full Color display and a premier labeling provider bringing the most innovative labeling options to the prep table. The patent-pending DissolveMark™ Direct Thermal label technology allows flexibility in the kitchen and the performance you’ve come to expect from DayMark Dissolve-a-way™ Labeling. DayMark offers a complete range of labeling formatted for the 9700, including ToughMark™ Repositionable Labels. From 1” x 2.2” rotation labeling up to 2.2” x 4” ingredient and nutritional labeling and beyond, DayMark’s labeling experts are ready to customize a labeling solution to your unique needs.
A side-by-side dual printer system allows flexibility to the range and application of your labeling, and reduces downtime by eliminating label rolls being constantly switched out for different versions. The large rolls – up to 2,000 labels on a single roll – also contribute to fewer pauses in the food preparation process. The drop-in loading and simple snap-down mechanisms allow far fewer steps than comparable machines and Easy snap-in/snap-out printer mechanisms provide quick service turns and allow you to continue operating should one print head require attention or replacement. Simply pull out and ship a small print head unit, rather than the accepted norm of sending back the entire terminal. You can even use the remaining print head until your replacement comes in, allowing normal functionality to continue.
Remote menu updates are available through network cables or USB port, allowing an update to flow to one unit or one thousand units. A PC-based menu-editing utility means that you can easily alter and layout your terminal’s interface. Take the next big step in protecting your kitchen and your customers. Test a 9700 Food Rotation Terminal in your operation and experience the difference in the speed, accuracy and functionality of your labeling procedure. DayMark Increases Cut Protection with NXT Series From HexArmor
While visiting a variety of restaurants and kitchens, DayMark Safety Systems found that employees were unhappy with the traditional cut gloves they were using. The cut gloves were being used in food preparation when handling knives and other bladed equipment. The gloves often seemed bulky and ill-fitting. Loose fingertips on the gloves often bunched up and caused issues when cutting or food handling. Other gloves were difficult to sanitize, and were found to retain odor and color from the foods they came into contact with. From a safety standpoint, the spectra’s fiber offered little or no protection for knife-tip injuries, where the point of the knife penetrated through their gaps. When the employee is uncomfortable in the cut glove, compliance drops significantly.
Why did NXT 10–302 cut–resistant gloves become the choice of some of the largest restaurant chains and grocers in the United States? NXT 10–302 exceeds Level 5 protection on ASTM and CE industry scales. They offer industry-leading protection from knife slips and cuts with the combination of SuperFabric® guard plates. High-dexterity and comfort in a 13 gauge lightweight shell make the gloves easy to wear and allow for very dexterous functionality. The NXT 10-302 washes better than the competition and is easily sanitized during a normal dish cycle.
The NXT 10–302 cut–resistant gloves immediately increased employee acceptance of the product. All of DayMark’s tests have shown an increase in compliance, as well as longer product life and enhanced safety due to the protective nature of NXT 10–302 SuperFabric® guard plates. The NXT 10-302 allows a latex or nitrile glove to easily fit overtop. Fiber–based cut gloves can protect your hands from contact with the straight edge of a blade, but if the blade slips, a knife tip will easily find its way between the fibers and cause injury.
Fiber–based gloves have gaps in between the weave where a blade tip can easily penetrate. This “window” effect can cause a user to have an injury the same as if they weren't wearing a cut glove at all.
The NXT 10-302 is not only a step up in safety; it is a better fitting, more comfortable solution to traditional knit gloves. Many kitchen managers and chefs are moving towards the NXT 10-302 as the in-kitchen testing proves a higher level of protection and employee acceptance. Try the NXT 10-302 today and watch your safety program and employee compliance grow. The DayMark FAK35 changes the First Aid Landscape
DayMark Safety Systems is well known in the foodservice industry as a leader in safety throughout the kitchen. In recent years, the company has offered its OSHA compliant FAK50, FAK25 and FAK10 first aid kits for foodservice facilities large and small. Recently, DayMark was proud to introduce the latest addition to its line of innovative first aid kits, the DayMark FAK35.
This new kit continues the tradition of being not only OSHA compliant but also meeting ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2009 compliance. Because of its size, FAK35 is recommended for businesses of 35 employees or less, making it the perfect size for a large percentage of establishments. While most first aid kits tend to force customer to maintain a large number of individual SKUs for each item in their kit, the new DayMark FAK35 features just six refill bundles. Each of the bundles contains several first aid refills, making the kit easier to maintain and leads to more efficient replacement ordering.
One new item that can only be found in the DayMark FAK35 is the Easy Access Bandage™. These highly visible blue bandages offer a removable “tab” that easily pulls off, allowing you to remove the bandage from its wrapper without compromising its sterility. Easy Access Bandages™ are exclusive to DayMark in the foodservice industry.
Other key features of the DayMark FAK35 are locking tabs that securely hold refills and a case large enough to store extra refills if necessary. The case is wall-mountable for easy access in case of an emergency and also features a planogram in its design so that you always know where to replace its refills. Each refill box contains a color-coded dot that corresponds to the ANSI color standardization for unitized refills and has the content’s SKU number printed on it for easy reordering. Private branding of the FAK35’s case is also an available option for those that purchase the first aid kit for their business.
The new DayMark FAK35 is competitively priced and will be available through most major foodservice distributors. For more information on the FAK35 or to learn about ways to cut down on common burn and cut injuries, call us at 800.847.0101 or visit our website at
